Giorgio Fochesato grew up in Merano (South Tyrol, Italy) and graduated from Trento
University, where he studied Information Technology and Software Engineering (1999-2001).
The first working activities see him engaged as software developer and IT project manager.
The tendency and the curiosity towards the World emerge after the study when he left his
first job to travel alone all around Australia and New Zealand with his backpack (2004).
The passion for the photography become an activity in 2006 when he began to sell Royalty
Free pictures online. In the first year of activity he sold more then 6000 pictures, having
customers from all over the world: US, UK, Italy, Poland, Czech Rep, Germany, Australia...
In 2007 he did his first photoreportage living in China for one month, in a tibetan school
located at 5000 meters above the sea level, managing the school and taking pictures of
the kids living there. He did this job for the Himalayans Seeds Onlus association. The
pictures has been used to make many exibitions, create a calendar and collect new founds
for the tibetan school.
He speaks italian, german, english and spanish and now he's living in Florence (Italy),
where he study how to improve the photography art.
